How to be a better business networker online and in-person

“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” – Brene Brown

Level : Beginner

Date/Time:

Friday, 4 December 2020

  • WA: 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM (AWST)
  • NT: 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM (ACST)
  • QLD: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (AEST)

We’ve all seen those business owners who just seem to know how to meet others and hold a conversation at those networking events. They make it look effortless when it comes to introducing themselves to others, and always seem to know exactly how to say the right thing at the right time.

But no one is simply “born” with the “networking gene.” It takes practice, and more importantly perhaps, a formula when you enter any networking situation, to brush away the self-consciousness, and get more out of every networking situation.

But even if the thought of attending a networking function seems impossible for you, there are plenty of online opportunities to connect with other business owners, including LinkedIn and online Meet Ups.

  1. This practical webinar will help you to learn how to:
  2. Form a plan for starting to network with others
  3. Confidently introduce yourself and your business
  4. Communicate clearly what you are looking for from new contacts
  5. Remember people’s name and plan for follow-ups
  6. Network with other businesses in the real world, and online

This workshop is brought to you by Business Station and AusIndustry under the ASBAS Digital Solutions Program
