The freely available social media platforms were awash with fake news, misinformation and allegations of all kinds levelled at politicians, celebrities and corporate giants. While the world considered the cost of this, may businesses big and small took very public positions on everything from marriage equality to political affiliation.

For some businesses this came in the form of beautiful statements of support. For others it became a cringe-worthy attempt to leverage a social issue to gain some form of favour with the public.

He is also a Training Partner for Google’s Digital Springboard, the Australian Government’s BeConnected program and the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Stay Safe Online program.
