Newsletter – August 2019
“Welcome to August”
As August 2019 draws to a close, we can reflect on another exciting and fast-paced month.  We welcomed 2 new staff members to our Treeti family, Olivia Evans as our new Receptionist (that makes 3 Country Queenslanders in the team, myself from Chinchilla, Suse Forrest from Longreach and Olivia from Cunnamulla) and Mark Faulkner as our much-awaited Export Advisor for our Tradestart contract.  Mark is originally a Darwin boy and has been living in China for 9 years with his family, returning to start his new career as an Export Advisor with Tradestart, partnering with Treeti and Austrade.

To accommodate our growing team, we have moved from building 2, to building 3, level 1, just above the Territory Business Centre. Big thanks to Cecilia Quek at Darwin Corporate Park for co-ordinating the fit-out, and a special shout out to all the Treeti team continuing to do an awesome job whilst working around the chaos of  limited meeting rooms, dodging builders, painters, electricians etc etc. The end result is amazing and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our new place of business.

As the above picture depicts, Treeti enjoyed another year attending the Darwin Corporate Park Race Day at the Darwin Turf Club Carnival.  We had a lot of fun and look forward to supporting this event again next year.

We also welcomed 3 new clients to the Treeti family; the lovely Angel and Jamie from Mudkrabba, Caitlin and Daniel from DJ Air and Electrics, and Craig from RMI Security. These are all fabulous NT based businesses and we look forward to supporting them through the growth process, exciting times ahead for these 3 businesses.

So as we prepare for another busy September, I would like to stop and reflect on our year thus far and say how grateful I am to have such a fabulous team, great consultants, awesome clients and wonderful partners.  We are truly privileged to be able to contribute to the business community at this level.

Till next month, happy business from all of us at Treeti Business Consulting.

Celebrating Entrepreneurship
It has been another eventful month for the Entrepreneurship Facilitator Service (EFS); a program funded by the Department of Jobs and Small Business.

The program has been positively received by the locals, with many budding entrepreneurs attending the Ideation Day, Business Model Canvas Workshop and our ‘Winning at Business’ series.

These workshops are designed to build participants entrepreneurial skills, clarify and validate ideas, and set clear goals and objectives for startup success.

Seeing so many wonderful ideas coming out the other end of the program, from healing creams to mud crabbing; is cause for celebration.

If you have a desire to start a business, or you already have a business idea but need clarity and direction; come along to our next Ideation Day or Business Model Canvas Day. Also keep an eye out for more in our ‘Winning at Business’ Series.

If you would like more information on the workshops or the program and services, please contact our EFS Facilitator – Megan Holzfeind to RSVP your attendance today: megan@treeti.com.au.

Meet Claire Johnston

Our Entrepreneur of the month is Claire Johnston from Yoga Territory.
The Yoga Territory studio is located upstairs on the corner of Cavanagh and Knuckey St in the bustling CBD.

EFS is thrilled to be supporting Claire with her business and we are very happy to share with you the Yoga Territory September 30 day challenge

Join Yoga Territory for their September Yoga Challenge!

This is the perfect time to detoxify our body and mind, creating space to rejuvenate post dry season festivities! This challenge will not only give you your strongest and fittest body ever but encourage you to take your practice off the mat and apply the principles to your everyday circumstances by connecting and living in alignment with your higher self. This challenge is great for those starting a new practice, re-committing to their practice and anyone else looking for a little extra motivation and accountability to get on the mat!

How it Works

– One month of unlimited yoga with the goal of getting to 5 studio classes each week (and an optional home practice that I’ve recorded for you)!
– An exclusive Facebook Group to connect with your teachers and fellow challengers
– Weekly inspiration, education & motivation.
– Limited to just 30 students
– 15% off your next pass, for everyone who completes the challenge.
– Entry to our Prize Draw for all completed chellengers (Prizes TBC)

This challenge kicks off on Sunday 1st September with a ‘bring a plate’ feed after the 10:00am roll and release class for everyone to get to know each other!

It takes 21-30 days to form a habit – so committing will be all you need to do to feel empowered, inspired and renewed!
The 30 day challenge costs $149, which is less than a monthly pass and no more than your daily cup of coffee!
 • If you currently have a pass with Yoga Territory we will put it on hold for the duration of the challenge

I am very happy to announce Combined Electrical as Treeti Client of the Month.

There is one person that knows Treeti as well as Megan and I, and that is Suse Forrest.  Suse has been part of our journey from the beginning, supporting Treeti from all angles.

As a business owner herself (Lulu and Daw Boutique www.luluanddaw.com ) Suse and business partner Emily participated in the original Little Black Book business workshop series, then becoming a Treeti client and eventually agreeing to “help us out” and work 3 days a week as Project Manager and Admin Support.

Thank you Suse for your unwavering commitment to Treeti including but not limited to, training the new staff, ensuring processes are completed properly, your unlimited patience, and generally keeping everyone calm and heading in the right direction.

Towards the end of next month Suse is trying on a new role within Treeti as my PA, a role that I (and the rest of the team) are really looking forward to.

Doors Open!
Thank you to those who have already come to visit us in our new location. Construction is still underway for our new  meeting rooms and private offices which should be completed in the coming week. Thank you all for your patience while we have been waiting on our exciting new fit-out.

We look forward to welcoming new and old faces into our completed space!
Congrats Dante!

Of the 6 Facebook Australia Community Trainers nationwide, our own Dante St James has become one of just 4 to pass the pilot Facebook Digital Marketing Associate accreditation, which with a 100% score, places him as the equal top-accredited Facebook Marketing professional in Australia with another trainer in Sydney.

We’re very proud to have Dante as part of the Treeti team!
